Wrongly so poorly selling album

It is one of the enigmas of rock history, why this great album was so poorly received by the audience - and the subsequent tour was not well attended.
There are two reasons for this:
1.The Foreigner fans could not get used to the voice of Johnny Edwards, the not so commercial, but much more rock and deeper than Lou Gramm singt.Trotzdem the voices resemble a little, but Johnny Edwards sings certainly not bad!
2.From Foreiger it was usual commercial pop-rock fare, as in the previous albums "agent provocateur" (1984) and "Inside Information" (1987).
With this album the band wanted to break new ground - and promptly fell audiences durch.Man can assume that no one has listened to the album properly, otherwise the response would have been better.

With the over-album "4" Foreigner in 1981 had reached the zenith - by far the best Foreigner album and one of the best (and best-selling!) Rock albums in rock history ever to loose beside classics like "Thriller", "Brothers In Arms" , "Led Zeppelin 4" or "We Can`t Dance" can be made.
After that it was just downhill gehen.Die successor albums "agent provocateur" and, especially, "Inside Inforamtion" offered according -despite commercial success- meager fare .MAN wonders why tasteless mashed Guitar rhythms and boring synthesizer porridge so many buyers findet.Da there is only one explanation: the average rock listener does not want good music, but catchy, catchy Melodien.Dies he got with the lard hits "I Wanna Know What Love Is" (1984) and "Say You Will "(1987) also offered sufficiently.
Thereafter, singer Lou Gramm separated in favor of (unsuccessful!) Solo career, and from the original lineup was heard a long time nothing more, again only a best-of album ("The Very Best Of ... And Beyond) 1992 and a live greatest hits album "(" Classic Hits Live ") 1993, the next sign of life from the weary hero.
1991 dared the band - with a new singer and a new sound - a comeback, just the much-discussed album "Unusual Heat".
I am very enthusiastic! Even if the panel can not be measured with "4", it is but the comparison with the first three albums and surpassed the two previous albums to Klassen.Für me one of the better Foreigner albums !!!
That was finally back rock music (emphasis on rock !!!), every single title a blast, the new singer knows his craft - and still: no chance for the fans.
Incidentally, it hurts a downright, if such a great album now at a well-known online retailer with initials
"A" (...!) For a dime verramscht wird.Da one sees how much clue the average rock fan has -namely little!
Maybe you would not give up after just one plate already, but the experiment still one / two plates continue one / two tours sollen.Der success would still be able to adjust.

The new singer was looking into the distance, Lou Gramm returned (probably have sales of solo disks not enough to finance the Porsche) and there were 1994 Mr. Moonlight means magnificent, but gutverkauftes comeback (we had not already. ..?)

Anno 2008, there Foreigner still -or they should now be better "The Mick Jones Band" name, after the only remaining original member.
Live they should still be super, and it will be interesting, on the first LP with continuously new Material.Bis now there was only one new eingesungenes greatest hits album.

But who wants to hear Foreigner, when they were really good, is the first three panels, of course, the thriller "4" and forgetting-not - "Unusual Heat" kaufen.Er will not regret it.
