Recorded with his house band, he transforms as usual between hip hop, dub, reggae, electro and funk / soul on a chilly foundation. He is supported by a number of guest vocalists and somehow everything is as usual. But it still lacks something.
The album fulfilled all expectations, but by Nightmares On Wax is just getting a little more expected. Not only professional production without true highlights or innovative sounds. It could also eventually be able to appear in the course of the last decade and that makes it so arbitrary and lacks a convincing reason for the current show. Compared to the direct competition as among others Booka Shade has lost ground. You can call it stagnation at a high level - but for me, this is too little.
