Customer Review

The songs have been played on the radio at the turn of 70/71 very often.
The board is so good, even those who otherwise do not like Janis Joplin or has no relation to the hippy era should they buy. The compositions are superb and attractively played by the "Full Tilt Boogie Band", the Hammond organ and feverish the piano gives the tracks even more expressiveness.
- "Me and Bobby MacGee" was so successful as a single, it had a long talk in the southern German hits of the week
- "My Baby" is one of her best vocal performances, almost gospel-like chorus with.
- "Cry Baby" is similar
- "Move Over" is composed by Janis itself, begins with "You say its over ..." pretty hard guitar riff.
- "Get a While You Can" has a similar sad-prophetic line ("we may not be here tomorrow"), a quiet piano begins the song, which increases more and more. If I "live fast die young" Embassy strictly reject the and their lives have little respect, my favorite track of their work.
- "Half Moon" has also strong melody that one does not forget his life.
- "Buried Alive in the Blues' voice was recorded as the last track without Janis. She was just in the recording preparation and died the same day of an accidental heroin overdose in her room of the Landmark hotel, where she wore a long red skirt (the same as on the cover?).
Her death at the time was the youth and adults very close, was the occasion in schools before affected teachers and students in front of a lifestyle like to warn her. One should therefore not be pull down of "Pearl" and the beautiful legacy in an intimate hour his girlfriend audition times. Even a boring room is at once enriched by emotions, try it. The tip is indeed in a "partnership, known as (or something similar)" book.
