Now, after more than 30 hours with Freedom Wars now so my review. Freedom Wars is a game for PS Vita of the SCE WWS Japan Studio in collaboration with Shift (eg. God Eater) and Dimps developed. It is an action-RPG and the game system not unlike a Monster Hunter, but where there are relatively large differences, most likely it is to be compared with the God Eater developed by Shift (in Germany appeared on PSP).

(The scoring relates to what is possible on a handheld, which can be as powerful as a home console ever.)

Graphics:
The graphics are quite impressive for a handheld game. Especially the detailed character models are very well done. The environments are the just a little. Overall, the graphics give the desired oppressed atmosphere, therefore, a spectacle of color is not to be expected. Freedom Wars is games with Killzone Mercenary in a number of the best-looking PS Vita. All in all, there is this 10/10 points.

Music:
The music fits into the desired image of the game. I was never disturbed and some songs are actually very good. Masterpieces such as 4 Golden but should not be expected in a Final Fantasy or persona. Thus 8/10.

Error on a technical level:
Throughout my playing time it's never too annoying framerate drops (the game runs absolutely smoothly) come. However, the game in the outdoor areas and the appearance of enemy masses freezes sometimes. Audio errors are not met me. The timing of the dialog boxes might also be a bit better. Therefore 8/10.

Gameplay:
The gameplay is based, as mentioned above on the God Eater developed by Shift, however, usefully supplemented by the systematic installation of 3rd-person shooter elements. The game has a based on missions gameplay. The player is transported in demarcated areas and must compete against a wide variety of powerful kidnappers there. But the missions are pleasantly varied. Time citizens have to be rescued from these captors (and thus the kidnappers are not really destroyed), another time must be taken checkpoints or simply a large amount kidnappers are destroyed. In addition to the kidnappers one must also against smaller opponents, compete like other people. For each situation, the equipment should be chosen accordingly. For example, do not offer to people big and slow weapons, whereas one needs against the kidnappers much firepower. One can in Freedom Wars between different swords (spears, etc.) and select firearms that can enhance all also by your personal wishes. The best thing about the gameplay, however, is the so-called mandrel. Using this result refreshing options. One can thus heal partners, pull hijackers to the ground, but mainly use the walls and houses of environments and attack the hijackers from the air. The mandrel is clearly the best in the entire combat system. At the beginning of the game to get his personal, fully customizable companion (an artificial Android) that supports an in combat. Story:

And "afford" is the magic word here, of all sinners is expected for her panopticon (huge prison towns where mankind has taken refuge) to contribute in the fight against other Panoptiken and get it adopted in a few years of their sentence. Incidental and playing time:
The playing time for the single-player mode is an average of 25 hours. A large portion of the game is also fun in online mode where you can fulfill missions together with 3 friends (their companions and), besides you can also fight against other sinners in PVP mode. In addition, you can be Panoptikon (in my Berlin) lead to world-wide victory against the overpowering Hong Kong in the panopticon league (is hard)). Staging:
The interplay of music, story and gameplay creates a unique oppressive feeling I have not had in a game like this. For this truly refreshing idea and implementation, there is 9/10 points.
