While there are already a number of reviews on the game, but as a passionate Mercenaries player, I create a time in my experience:

Who "The Mercenary" and "The Mercenaries Reunion" (RE 5) and "The Mercenaries" (RE 4) knows, knew and had learned to appreciate, will love this game !!!!

Generally speaking is in "The Mercenaries 3D" to a feature game that has nothing to do with the main games of the series, no story elements includes, but the well-known bonus mission from the past share some expands and deepens.
In "The Mercenaries" it comes as many enemies as possible to eliminate within the prescribed time limits to achieve at the end of high scores that you can put in solo mode and offline / online co-op mode to the test.

It includes not only the famous characters like Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker and Jack Krauser also a completely new, yet hitherto not seen before character - Claire Redfield, Chris's little sister.
Each of these character appears along with an alternate version of him, a bonus outfit, which only need to be unlocked, however, where any other has its own special feature.
Each character has its own individual weapon set which in turn consist of weapons of RE 4 & 5 RE, whose properties can be improved by unlockable abilities.
Besides the familiar main opponents RE 5 or the Majini Executioner Majini now join the Ganados with this, the main opponents of RE. 4
They are accompanied by the bosses as the Garrador and the infamous Dr. Salvador, which is more dangerous than ever in this game!
The missions are also held at known locations of the last two parts, either the Assembly or ship deck (RE 5) or the deserted island and ancient castle (RE 4).

For those who "The Mercenaries" from RE5 already knew, will be felt quite quickly familiar with the game, but you will also find that it is much more difficult.
And who do not feel like highscore hunting has, can dare to challenge, for that you get a medal at the end.
But even for those who did not know this bonus mission, will quickly settle in this game because the first portions generous introduction or training missions include that illustrate a variety of situations exactly that await one in the later levels.

New in this game is the reloading while running, which I personally found to be very positive as well as the shooting during the run, which is quite difficult to implement, however.
The controller can be changed at will, which each player can choose something for themselves.
Shooting can now also from a first person perspective!
And for those who can not wait that next RE game to gamble, the first minutes of the game the new RE game "Revelations" can already enjoy that next year for 3DS appears.

Here again a pro and con list that I created with my game partner of "The Mercenary" and "Merc 3D".
It is a comparison between RE 5 "mercenaries" or "Mercenaries Reunion" and "Mercenaries 3D" because these versions are most likely to do by the way of playing with each other:

PRO:

- Graphically very well.
- Well-known music from different parts of RE-plus all-new songs.
- Demo of Resident Evil "Revelations".
- Offline and online co-op mode available.
- Easy and simple control, which can be changed at will.
- Game view can be changed between the goals "FPS view" and "TPS-view", ie first-person and third person view.
- Color of laser pointers and life energy display can be changed.
- 30 different skills available.
- For some progress in the game you get medals.
- Many levels are available.

- Each character has his own strengths and weaknesses, as well as its own individual bonus outfit.
- A new level Mercenaries character = Claire Redfield.
- The characters no longer have to bend down to pick up objects.
- Some melee attacks of characters from RE 5, have become faster by the speed during execution.
- While the character of injury heals, it is invulnerable, even before deadly attacks since he is protected!
- Characters recover faster from attacks.
- The weapon sets can be exchanged under certain conditions between the characters.
- Enemies can be provoked by mocking spells.
- Unnecessary equipment such as fire grenades, etc. are no longer present.
- Equipment are given in the levels, which can be adjusted more quickly to certain opponents.
- Reloading and shooting while running is now possible.
- The opponents are compared to RE 5, less aggressive, grab rare and no longer beat so often that increases but with the higher sections such as the EX-levels.

CONTRAINDICATIONS:

- Score can not be deleted!
- 3D effect rather disturbing but pleasant.
- Control of getting used to, it is no longer as flexible as in RE 5 "Mercenaries".
- There are no real solid starting positions from Sections 4, 5 and EX more, even if you will reboot, you can start where suddenly very different, therefore you have to rethink over and over again.
- At some levels the prescribed equipment are not always the right ones.
- Melee attacks some characters from RE 5, have been extremely slow in their speed, for example, Wesker's "cobra shock".

- Many features are unnecessary and pointless in their capacity as "infinity 7" = rocket launcher with infinite ammunition, but you do not get points after completing a mission!
- Superfluous weapons can not be thrown away from the inventory.
- Is reloading over the inventory is no longer possible (only by skills).
- The capacity of many weapons is extremely low, which in turn requires much reloading eg Hydra 3 shot magazine.
- Shooting while running is an unnecessary thing, and too complicated to implement.
- Herbal mixtures, as well as first aid sprays are no longer present.
- The Die-state has been slightly shortened.
- The blast radius of grenades, explosive barrels and a few enemies that explode when they die is extremely increased.
The character will be damaged in the immediate vicinity and even at a great distance of several meters is the character in the protective attitude about.
- Stun grenades dazzle your character almost always, no matter how far you throw away the shell of itself !!
In Koop is the partner when he is near, often with affected.
- The mockery designs take too long for some characters.

In solo mode, it is to kill therefore virtually impossible all 150 enemies in these levels, that is almost exclusively in Co feasible.
- In co-op, it may happen off and on times that the game session ends unexpectedly suddenly, although not all 150 opponents have been killed, but which is in the statistics that all have been defeated!
Mostly this happens in 148 or 149!
- Ammunition and remedies you can no longer communicate with the partner.

Although the game has a bit more Kontra-Punkte, it makes fun anyway, especially in Koop and is indispensable for true Resident Evil Mercenaries fans and players !!
