A sacred rock n'roll lesson

Houses of the holy (1973) (CD)

Customer Review

There is a little bit of everything on this record: pure sugar Led Zeppelin, like 'The song remains the same'. Sometimes a strong push in the direction of hard rock, with strong guitar riffs (The song remains the same, and especially the Californian 'The Ocean'). And there are also unusual pieces, such as the James Brownian 'The Crunge'. All this is very convincing. Then a foray into reggae with D'yer Mak'er. Too bad that the words of the latter are so hollow.

But let's not be cynical: as is said at the end of the disc, 'It's so good!'

This gives extra spice to this disc is the arrival in force keyboards (piano and keyboards). You sound like Radiohead early.

After the success of Led Zeppelin IV, he is not content to take a proven recipe. Is not the mark of the large groups?
