A very soulful and poignant album!

Before Neil Young's surgery on a brain aneurysm album Prairie Wind was completed. It was released in September of this year. Musically, it is based on very Harvest and Harvest Moon. There are therefore particularly all who take pleasure in the CD, which pleases slightly quieter Neil Young.
All songs of Prairie Wind I like. There are songs, like Its A Dream, which slide directly into the soul and provide a comforting atmosphere. Far From Home is sparkling therefore with horns and harmonica and country sounds moderate with a splash of blues. Emmylou Harris occurs here as with the song This Old Guitar and No Wonder on as a special guest. The title song of the album seems to me a bit like atmospheric Tonight The Night. Neil will be accompanied here by backing singers whose part round the song just fine. My favorite song by Prairie Wind, however, Here For You. The song would also wonderfully fitted on Harvest. Simply heartbreaking beautiful. That conclusion is the following piece of This Old Guitar by little. With He Was The King there is a small tribute to Elvis. The CD ends with the wonderful ballad When God Made Me. Also a dreamy ballad.
Neil Young has once again created by Prairie Wind is a very soulful and poignant album. I do not want to miss in my collection.
