So let's be clear, there are 2 different editions:
- "Simple CD" with Morrison's face profile on the cover, to avoid because incomplete and poor quality sound.
- A "double CD" with a pouch "artwok" representing the statue of an angel on a blue background. This, without perfect sound (but you know a lot of the 1967 live albums with his "studio quality"? At the time, rock bands have published y'en live albums were not that much listen again ... "Got Live if tou want it" the Stones, "Five Live Yardbirds", "Live At the Kelvin Hall" Kinks (1967), not to mention the Beatles "Live at the Hollywood Bowl" ... It was not really the HIFI !!!) I was saying, this one without perfect sound was remastered seriously and therefore quite listenable. And even if the concert was recorded on a single 2 tracks (which necessarily limits the mixing ...) even if the sound is a little dry and lack of breadth it clean. In short this is an honest quality document in view of its age and the period of technical, not a vulgar pirate.
After, of course, they is a record for the fans, because of its historical character (the first concert recorded Doors while they were not yet become "stars"). So yes, it's worth it if you really love the doors and you know the studio versions, this allows you to hear the songs from the first two albums and some others in a different light, more ... alive! Some versions are magnificent, an example: interpreting "the crystal ship" beyond my original opinion.
