"Our music is death pop", defined bassist Paige Haley, the music of Orgy at the beginning of times, and since there is actually no more fitting description for it - even if no one really knows what "death pop" is now really, because describe can this music difficult. Electronic music meets alternative music and rock. Somewhere in this category would have to be at home Orgy, but they are not what makes it a kind of pioneering in their music style.
Jay Gordon's voice gives Orgy just its unique individuality as Amir Derakhs G synthesizers. Orgy Orgy is simple, and they also want to not be compared with anyone. Optical hits as "Hard Rock meets Brian Molko" probably best because Orgy is probably one of the few bands that make-up (and do not like KISS, but professionally, as if they are made of pure female chromosomes), tastefully and attracts but never can doubt that we are dealing to men who still look like such also remains. A big wow "at this point;)
Musically, everything available on their album ... of "Stitches" in the best rock and yet typical Orgymanier, "Platinum", a beautiful ballad almost (but ballads were not music of Orgy, and therefore it is necessary also here a new definition ), "Blue Monday", which was here more exciting and more musical than the original version of "New Order" worked, not least striking also at Gordon's voice and the associated games is, "All the Same" - slow and thoughtful, "Revival "with Jon Davis of Korn, the While space is left, but nevertheless Orgys own style and not displaced here wonderfully with Gordons voice adds (though I'm the complete opposite of a grain or Davis fans), and finally to" Dizzy, "the product of pure imbecility is according to information of the band members, which makes it just again so amusing.
As for the lyrics, it is best served with a quote from Amir Derakh: "People ask me like 'what do you say in that song?' and I'm like '! I have no idea' ')
Nevertheless, so they are not entirely useless, and leaves the partly abstract / futuristic in them close to higher intelligence or deeper intentions. Orgy is clearly not a mainstream band, but a coalition of 5 definitely intellectuals who have remained sympathetic and amusing in spite of everything and that's why can be taken seriously.
