I've been looking for a good all-round camera, and the following criteria were important to me:
A good wide-angle of 30mm max, which should still be relatively free of distortions.
Telephoto of at least 200mm.
A good macro mode.
Manual Eintellmöglichkeiten that allow exposure compensation, and long-term exposure. Also a good white balance and a central AF point were important to me for specific image composition.
I could compare the F70 with the following devices:
Panasonic TZ3 and TZ7, TX1, Sony H20 and HX1 and WX1, Fuji F200EXR
All in all, the F70 could fulfill my wishes best, here is my experience:
Pros:
Very good values in the wide-angle In most models of other brands, beonders at the Sony models and also the Fuji sister F200 you have to strong distortions in purchasing take- say a photographed door frame is no longer rectangular, but the beams bend ordenlich out unacceptable to me
Very neutral and realistic color reproduction, very good detailed drawing at high resolutions.
The Low Light mode has me really great architectural shots erstaunt- here at night possibility with low noise, high detail drawing. After only a slight reworking can conjure up images which Ansonten only with a SLR and tripod would be possible.
Immaculate, upscale appeal process. This still compact.
Clear display, which has a high viewing angle.
Very good macro mode
Cons:
Manual settings are dependent on the mode, and can not always be corrected. For example, is in lowlight mode no option for white balance available.
The image stabilizer is definitif better with models of Sony and Panasonic.
You should take photos for the time, and test the settings in the automatic mode is not often achieved the results that can be achieved.
Unfortunately, no Panoramamodus- here can WX1 and Sony HX1 points.
Video Mode: For me not the main criterion. You can zoom during the movie, and the image quality it ok.
The new Panasonic and Sony models but have a higher resolution.
Flash: is very good, however, one discovers him off easily with your fingers.
Conclusion:
This camera is my personal winner due to flexibility and image quality. Here you can really make some of his pictures.
Pure Auto fans who do not want to deal in more depth with the camera and Fotogafie itself are better off with the Sony and Panasonic models, also there is also HD video available.
Potential for improvement:
Even Brighter Lens
Improved Image Stabilizer
More settings in all modes
Hd Video
Panorama mode
