It is a semi-gloss paper and thus the surface is not perfectly smooth (fall only at a certain angle against the light on), but also not reflected. The colors are never dull.
I like the printed image even better than that of Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy II, which was with my printer (PIXMA 540) case.

I am highly satisfied with the paper.
