Where benefits are, of course there are also disadvantages:
-The Lens is made entirely of plastic. Processing is indeed perfectly, yet you get the feeling to hold a toy in the hands, so easy is the lens. Maybe the one or the other may even be an advantage for a queasy feeling remains.
-The Lens extends at full zoom out to twice its length. Do they know you take out or can the purchase be the same.
-no image stabilizer in the lens: interferes with Panasonic cameras, of course, very, straight at the telephoto end. Added to this comes yet
-the maximum aperture of f5.6 at the long end, because you have to go on a bright day ever on ISO 800 to ever shoot a reasonably sharp image out of my hand.
All these "disadvantages" are picked up from the very good optical quality. And who runs the lens on an Olympus Pen, who is also need to worry about the lack of image stabilization worry. The only real downside I see in the plastic design, let's see how long will the lens. At least you take the advantage of a good price.
Weigh yourself.
