Have the 40s tested on my 5100 and am very, very happy no. It's really impressive sharp and the luminous efficiency better than I would have thought. Macro shots succeed astonishingly accurate and across the board very well. For me, a nice little bonus, because I never really wanted to Macro snapping. Does the lens on myself to the absolute value Kracher. Portraits are drawn very sharply. This markedly differs from 50 1: 8G and the 50 1: 4G. Which are much softer.
