Video on Amazon.com Watch the video to see my experiences with the Roomba 620, everything in writing. Why do I have the Roomba 620 bought and not others? It's simple: The 620s is priced with the best and there are all Roomba on the same suction technology and the same battery, one gets with the higher-priced models as no better performance, but special features such as touch screens, programmability, Virtual walls etc - but that was not important to me everything, but it was about the fundamental things: suction power and runtime. The performance of the Roomba in the apartment is very good. However, I use it on more than 100 square meters and switch to it when the apartment is left for 2-3 hours. Since it is designed from the battery power for 40-60 square meters, he never creates the whole apartment - individual corners he can, but as about 80-90 square meters it cleans every very thorough. Weaknesses: Unfortunately, I have found some weaknesses, hence a star deduction. In my example, there is a closet, under which he can get stuck if he moves among them in an unfavorable angle. This happens rarely, but annoying. Furthermore bothers me that the "driving home" service of the Roomba is not very targeted. If, for example in the children asking him to go to the charging station, which is in the living room, then it takes forever for it, because he simply moves the apartment continued to fall, docks only if he happens to find the charging station at the correct angle. That means I have to actually getting home wear it. One must of course prepare the apartment before the Roomba can get started, but if you have packed away all loose things, it does its job well and is at the end of the cleaning process also good docked back into the station. Since we have the Roomba, we vacuum the apartment only piecemeal / Room example, the rough work makes the Roomba and I think we save per week surely 1-2 hours working. Good Roomba comes incidentally cope with carpets, coffee or cables. The latter he pushes through the area, but also comes over it, if it is fixed.
The cleaning of the Roomba is also bearable. You have to suck him again and again, otherwise one makes a major cleaning every 14 days and takes the brush at the bottom out - no big deal.
In Video, you see also that the noise level is quite ok. If you want to chat in the same room, does that, but is annoying in the long run and one uses it better when there is not - but compared to a conventional vacuum cleaner it is much quieter.
The standby power consumption is 4-6 watts. That's not exactly little, but you calculate the annual electricity consumption, so it comes out at about 10 euros - depending on the current price.
My conclusion: A real helper for us. He does not manage all the work and you always have to sometimes look that the apartment is properly prepared for him, but all in all a good performance!
