However, the included navigation software Destinator 6 could not convince me. We tried the software on vacation in Finland and were not satisfied: In addition to several minor quirks, there were two big problems:
1) Many small place covered only under the name of an often distant "main town". During our vacation this was about 20 kilometers away. One had then always the main town and could then recommend anrouten the desired destination using a street, provided you had a road. Often this was not the case, so we had to rely in many cases on the good old road map. So we had not imagined.
2) The calculated short routes are useless. The software seems blind to seek the absolute shortest route. Because the software pretty much knows the last dirt road, the shortest routes lead then often such. These were, however, mostly with a normal car is not passable. We have tried to drive such a distance. The result: We have placed several times and several times were stuck by a hair in the mud. And all for an apparently very small distance saving.
Destinator support has pushed the problems on the maps and for finally there was nothing. When I objected that due to the long traveling times the poor condition was apparently well known for problematic sections short distances, I was pointing out that there will be no fixes for Destinator 6 more, because now Destinator 7 had appeared.
All in all: a tragedy.
