After about four weeks Ironing experience but I have to say that we are not satisfied with the ironing result. Given the very high price (MSRP 120 €) I have given only 2 stars, would the iron in a price range of 60-70 euros, it would be 3.5 stars. In detail:
+ Fits comfortably in your hand
+ Very good cable management through the attached Extra
+ Big water tank
- One has the impression that the iron does not stay consistently hot
- In particular by the shirts are not as smooth as I knew that from the previous model (2.600W).
- In order to nevertheless achieve a reasonably good result, the steam level must be set to max. be adjusted; in this setting the dripping iron but regularly
- If you use Easy iron or similar tools, the wet places will not dry quickly, since the iron probably will not warm / hot enough (for whatever reason)
- Vielleich it is the lack of heat, but I have the impression that the sole plate of my old Philips was smoother than this "novel" soleplate with "T-ionic glide"
- No on / off switch, ie after ironing you have to pull the plug; the automatic shutdown takes a relatively long
Too bad, I am quite disappointed by Philips, which I have always been associated with top-irons. So it does not make a lot of fun, so shirts to iron, it just takes too long to get this smooth. After this experience, I will definitely times attract other manufacturers into the equation before the next purchase.
