I am one of those people who read the book before seeing the movie and AS BETTER! The film makes nothing the strength of the novel (not to mention countless inconsistencies and inventions of the scenario). Stephen King gradually upped the pressure and horror. The evolution of madness Torrance takes the reader in a vise. You turn pages faster and faster, feeling totally oppressed. The hotel closed universe trapped by snow makes it totally claustrophobic. The scenes of various legal proceedings and varied give the impression of being in one of those dreams where you feel hounded, but where one is unable to run.
The great King! You can zap the film with no regrets!
