Let us briefly about my setting:
AMD phenomenon X4 955 BE @ 3.4GHz
12 GB RAM in CL7 and 1333MHz operation.
128GB SSD and HDD 1024GB memory.
MSI 790FX Winki Edition motherboard.
MSI GTX560Ti 1GB RAM (old map)
How already recognizes my current hardware, it is not particularly current computer. My hardware I will probably expand in the second quarter 2015. and transferring at an i7 4790k.
The AMD processor slows down the graphics card very strong, like the PCI Express interface in version 1.1. Before a GTX560 Ti was fitted with 1GB. The has simply become too slow, also games in 1440p resolution and work.

PACKING:
The packaging has fallen relatively large, in my opinion, it is now no longer necessary, so to build in large boxes. It unnecessarily burdened the environment and consumes too much resources. Less would have been more comfortable here. Inside the boxes is the graphics card in a plastic pad. The graphics card itself is, again wrapped in a Chrombedampften bag. Below the map is a small box, where even adapters for the power supply to the graphics card is. All in all quite clear. I now do not know, however, whether there is a CD / DVD was still there. PROCESSING and feel:
The processing, as already mentioned is really very good. Note, this is a map that G1, with a fairly thick backplane on the back. This cooling structure in this similar form, comes to my mind, only in larger Zotac card. If you have the card in your hand you can feel a quite vigorous weight. The card is also about 30cm. long. So you should also have an appropriate enclosure. Otherwise I advise directly on buying.
INSTALLATION:

From this point, after the driver has been installed and loaded, so it is started after Windows, the graphics card is also silent again. Initially, the fans run at full capacity, which is also ok. But really loud the card is never actually. Because I know others. On my card I could now hear no Spulenfiepen. That was my biggest concern only. However, I can now so nothing perceiving. But I also do not torment my graphics card, with any FPS test programs to generate more then 1000 FPS (frames per second).
Gaming performance:
I think very little of any benchmarks, because it do not really care how fast my computer, it should be just fast enough to play as smoothly as possible with many details. What unfortunately is not so easy at 1440p (2560x1440). Why yes coming soon purely a i7.
Following games I tested:
Assetto Corsa (racing simulation):
The game takes so incredibly much power, it's really unbelievable, but the game looks really fantastic. The reflections on the vehicle and the surrounding area and the high level of detail of the cockpit really let each Racingfan heart beat faster. Unfortunately, my computer does not create anything on Ultra, when I with multiple vehicles Online Drive. Therefore, I have many screws back down, or even switch off the 60FPS at 1440p. As the great reflection. All in all the game is running much better, but just in Assetto Corsa I have the feeling that it really would have to run much better. But since I have no experience of other players.
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Ego Shooter Multiplayer):
For me Bad Company 2 is still the best of all Battlefield games! It looks even for his age still pretty good. After all, now has under his belt for about 5 years. All the better the game will run on my computer. I could still play like BC2 so fluid now. Really great ... but as an old game is not necessarily the reference of a GTX970.
War Thunder (Free2play tanks and aircraft Multiplayer Shooter)
This game really has a stunningly beautiful graphics, but I can not enjoy the game as smooth as a friend of mine, the "only" a GTX770 has. He plays "ONLY" in 1080p and with a significantly faster Intel Xenon processor. In War Thunder there is the graphic profile "CINEMA" or "film", am not so sure now. So who would like to see :). It looks really great and the game does not cost anything :).
CONCLUSION:
I personally have been hoping for a little more power, but it is not because of the graphics card instead of my old AMD processor from the year 2009. In his time really a class processor, unfortunately he is now times in the years come. There's no denying the simple. The graphics card alone does not bring the performance boost you wish for, because the processor limits the performance. "A chain is only as strong as its weakest link" ... I think everyone knows the saying. All in all I am satisfied with the performance of the graphics card. There are no real flaws ... maybe could be a ticking quietly in idle mode ... but that's also already .. really loud is not ... at least not for me.
Update 01/25/2015
The card has only quasi one month behind to have yesterday, so the 01/24/15, to play for the first time again Counter-Strike GO. I've noticed that that game has somehow always hammered every 1.5 seconds. That was seen as good at CS GO, as in any other game. That's me not noticed before with Bad Company 2, or Assetto Corsa. Well, I thought that perhaps lies at the monitor, or on the computer ... so I then my old graphics card installed, the GTX560 Ti and lo and behold, no problems. Counter Strike GO running with my old card liquid, as with my new card. Both with 60FPS.
Then I found a website that lets you virtually can test the image reproduction. Since then run bar with a uniform speed through the image. VSync is supported in this browser application. And in this test, it is also for this regular Stocken.Wer it would like to test themselves, for the term: Search TEST UFO ... then select on this page "Stutter and Tearing". This problem occurs even at a screen resolution of 2560x1440 pixels. I have tried also to dual DVI connection, as well as DisplayPort. Also another computer from a friend with i7 on board, was present this problem. Oh .. mentioned in passing, I have the Hardware Revision 1.0.
At Amazon, I have requested an exchange. The map, however, until the 01/29/15 be available again. Well then ... let's wait :) if this is a common problem or an isolated incident.
Update 28/01/2015
As probably quite a few have noticed the technical data on the packaging, or published by nVidia incorrect. Since I am now not a techie, I would however recommend more accurate via Google and co. looking for before I write something wrong here.
I wanted only my defective G1 Gaming get exchanged, but after this debacle now I've decided to give the card all the way back. Really annoying ... One can now argue about whether that's now ok or not, what nVidia has made since. But it is and remains a last untrue statement of nVidia. I hope it is quickly followed by a new version of the graphics card, without these problems. For this reason I regard the map on three stars.
Why three stars? This graphics card is still a fast graphics card. Just because nVidia has just said that no longer apply the technical data, the GTX970 is not slow.
