First, it is necessary to put this baby carrier, like all others of the same gender, and weight is not very well distributed on the wearer's bust (of the carrier in this case). The straps are too thin, and even with a small baby (here, tested with a baby 3 weeks), it pulls on trapezes.
This carrier is therefore described as "physiological", that is to say that the baby is seated more (and less is suspended by its crotch).
I acknowledge that Babybjörn made an effort on this. That said, it is really a substitute for compliance with the physiology of the baby (which, when allowed to do so, will curl up against the carrier by putting himself into a ball, knees higher than the buttocks, in a position that can be described as sitting squatting).
The good thing I notice with respect to its predecessors is that it is well noted that with this baby carrier, it carries the baby belly to belly, and not before the world. It is a real step forward and this is noteworthy.
The alternative to facing the world is simple: the port on the back.
This carrier is used on the back, and the weight given limit is roughly that of my son 3 years ago, (worn physiological way since birth) so I of course tried it (in knowing very well that it is not conclusive given the insufficient width of the seat).
Already, the installation is a high-wire operation, it is really difficult to install only this baby carrier to carry on your back, since we must put forward ... the child can be slid by side but it really is unnatural and very impractical.
Then comfort level for me, it was terrible, and yet my son clung to me, wrapped as he could in order to "stand alone" sore neck, shoulders and feel very unpleasant to be unbalanced.
My son told me he wanted to go down very quickly and I understand.
In short, despite some progress, this baby carrier is still very far from what we expect when we wish to carry your baby / toddler comfortably for oneself and for the small worn.
There are many baby carriers or carrier toddlers certainly less well known, but a comparable price range with which you feel comfortable, you can wear for hours with and with whom a long walk can be considered, even to 3 years ago.
