It is true, unfortunately missing some songs like "Chiquita", "I do" and "Waterloo" in the end, but I think it's manageable.
For this you can see in the film they are yes again. ;)
Vocally Meryl Streep is really great and it puts if you listen closely at "The Winner Takes It All", even a whole lot of emotions in the song. As with "Slipping Through My Fingers". The song I did not know of ABBA and really makes me a little sad, though I have no children.
Amanda Seyfried has a außerodentliche voice, of which I want to even hear any more. I especially like the "Thank you for the music" at the end.
Christine Baranski has anyway a Pops appearance in the film and "Does yor Mother Know" is just great sung by her.
I must also say that Pierce Brosnan something even better than singing in the movie. Why this is so, I do not know, but the more you hear it the better it is. ;)
Overall, I like really all the songs even slightly better than the original ABBA, except for "Money Money Money", but certainly not located at Meryl Streep and Co., but because it is simply my favorite song of ABBA.
Well, I would like to say that I do not believe in any case that only one of the actors wanted to be better than ABBA.
That just does not. The original remains the original and they have amazingly well sung the songs in their very own style.
For me it is a true perennial favorite!
