The choice is not easy for me: Pentax Kx, Nikon D5000, EOS500D 'are all in similar price ranges, because the choice is not easy. And after I read a review in the journal Colorfoto that all 3 cameras are very similar, I decided for 3 reasons for Pentax:
- AA batteries' I find hellishly convenient because you get anytime, anywhere and there are no problems later when the battery makes even limp. And since the invention of the Eneloop batteries is also the durability no longer an issue. I've done almost 1,000 images with a battery pack.
- Anti-shake in the case, because I have a wide range of lenses
- I have been disappointed with Pentax cameras of experience and have never, including the service.
The great image quality and low noise performance, as described in other reviews, I can only confirm. To 1600 one can not really make noise and even at ISO 3200 siehts still neat. This is extremely good. One can thus take pictures and super save really expensive fast lenses with the camera in low light. With a lot of light so does almost every camera good photos ;-)
What I now after 2,000 images particularly good find to the camera next to the great image quality:
- Super simple and quick operation with the thumb and forefinger. In seconds, the exposure is there times runtergeschraubt, changed the aperture or adapted an important setting 'thanks to the many hot keys.
- Insanely good exposure. Finally, a camera that. Even in backlight, thus also fully hinbekommt a reasonable exposure in the sun Fascinatingly
- Speed is really ok with almost 5 B / sec. I have while skiing pretty impressive images hinbekommen (easy draufhalten and afterwards the best pick)
- I love the size pretty top, quite compact but for my quite big hands not too small. That the little finger into the empty reaches noted no longer one.
And what I do not so Dolle find:
- The choice of autofocus point is not displayed. Thus one can reasonably actually use the camera only in the spot mode, whatever I do. The beautiful 9 cross-type sensors are then but useless.
- The LiveView is cave slowly and unusable. But I do not need anyway.
- The battery is down and is very easy to. Mir is on the ski slopes fell out all the batteries and rolled down the slope. Sometimes finds a white Eneloop in the snow. No chance.
- No longer display on top of the camera (but that also does not provide any other inexpensive SLR). The K200 had yet.
Nevertheless, full 5 points because the camera is as fast Allround camera with super service and great picture quality really recommended.
