Here is a multifunctional kit that is proposed to us with numerous possible applications. Thus, in this same package, it is possible to "carve, engrave, grinding, sharpening, polishing, carving, sanding" as the recall the product description. Not bad though for a set of 70 ... Especially, error or not, it's still the big pleasant surprise on opening the pack: besides the fifteen accessories provided a box full of accessories (including at low word thirty additional rooms, no less!) rounds off the set and allow to cope with almost any situation :-) A nice little bag accompanies all and allows all stored in one place, allowing avoid untimely loss multiple parts.
For further comment, I said that I previously tested the model "micro 8050" (50 more expensive) and therefore, inevitably, I will just compare the two all along, knowing that these devices are very similar in their applications and the only big advantage of 8050 is its compact and therefore more manageable size (which is perhaps a matter of taste, moreover, that 8100 is additionally equipped with a small handle to hold the craft as a drill, but that I have found little interest in the use).
Then we come to the overall functioning level of the machine, because it's still what interests us directly. Being a (dubious) rather clumsy handyman, I was fairly skeptical initially address the multiple possibilities of use of this machine (and thus address the many possible blunders!). Fortunately, Dremel has thought us branques crafts by providing a comprehensive CD use, very accurate and most intuitive enough questions and dispelling the novice rather easily (possibly the only painful thing with this support, this is as paperless manual there is sometimes a bit annoyed if one is in the garage tinkering and we lack quune info).
Thus we therefore support the beast (already partially preloaded emergency) with a not super practical system (you must remove the battery and put it in his rather imposing charger and plug aware, it would still been better if we could put the whole machine directly on the base, see the 8050 model). Well, nothing serious either eh, rest assured.
A little excited with all his toys (yes, it takes a little me), I obviously wanted to test the set quickly. And there is nothing to complain. Several clips are present (although buy the Dremel multi chuck is not a luxury to be simplified considerably existence) and allow use of the option to insert the different accessories provided. The machine has five power levels and maximum force, that strong turbine! The results are felt immediately and it is easy to vary the intensity depending on the work required. The battery seems to hold the road again and after two hours of heavy use, still no failures noted nest.
In short, everything is good in the device itself and after a few uses, I did not find any major faults (come on, we say it is still heavier than the 8050 for a similar power, that the small light on the present 8050 for work requiring great attention to detail lacking some, the power levels are less attractive than the 8050, but frankly, we quibble over the details here!). Because really, at that price, it seems really difficult to beat.
