Not agree with the 1st comment April 14. This book is not a scientific bible but it was never presented as such. It is the story of personal experience of the average person, so you and I, and more or less difficult to eliminate sugar difficulties of everyday life. The tone of Danièle Gerkens is moderate but sincere; in contrast to the Anglo-Saxon movement on the same subject, it is more measured in his words and allows us to make up our own minds through the many references cited. I think his analysis is more interesting from a marketing perspective, food industry and lobbies as a biology standpoint, physiology and nutrition. The interest of this book is to be very clear, a simple and well-paced style, a fine journalistic writing. It also has the advantage of being easier to read for the uninitiated other cobblestones on the same subject. 90% of the population is affected by sugar, to degrees more or less strong but never positive. It is therefore interesting to read this doubled experience of a French argument, thus closer than previous imperial analyzes.
