I was and am actually primarily a Reinhard Mey Fan. Hannes Wader I always had more or less perceived, but not particularly interested me for his music. 2012 I bought, quasi in the Mey-break, but just once the album "Up close" of Wader. And I was overall very pleased with it, it sounded fresh, bold and thoughtfully. Since some older Wader albums have been added to my collection. And yesterday, the new album "Sing". I looked at the plate now already twice fully consulted and I like her music overall pretty good. Slightly less Country influences have probably done it in my opinion. Lyrically, however, all 10 songs are very strong. This direct and partly poetic way by which Wader transported its many themes, memories and appeals is very engaging and impressive. And but if I'm honest with myself, I must say that Hannes Wader today, with 72, actually "to say and tell," even more than the music in recent years, lyrically and vocally very quiet and mild become Reinhard Mey. What I mean to say: Hannes Wader would actually deserves a wider audience than it sometimes has him in recent years to part.
