I'm not surprised with comments certainly present but nevertheless moderate enthusiasm. In fact the album is very surprising. But personnaly, I would tend to say (as has also said the group members), which must necessarily approach the album as a whole. One can indeed find that only some tracks abut (Triumph, Gaia & Pixillate, the 3 most epic tracks in the album) and the others are rather transitions. But we must put these tracks from their neighbors. It may seem odd (maybe a little too "Fan boyeux"? ^ _ ^), But I myself felt a difference in the perception I had of some tracks, according as I was careful to that track or listened to the whole album (and especially during the time required for the "revelation" of the album). I would say that the album is perhaps more contemplative (if it speaks to you ^ _ ^), and sounds (at least for me) more positively that Ocean Machine. I want to say is that we have more to deal with the ambience of Life that the atmosphere certainly ultra-deep well "humble melancholic tendency" of the legendary trio Funeral-Bastard-Death Of Music. And inevitably, it may seem less profound (Sunset, late Synchestra, is more in this vein, although it is too short ^^). In short, we must allow time for this album to ripen completely. Only regret, the lack of solos Deep Peace (besides that of Steve Vai course, that fits well in Triumph).
