This book is not a method. The author assumes you already know how to draw manga characters 'realistic'. And since this is the 13th volume, it appears justified. It will not teach you to draw if you do not know the basics of manga, but will allow your characters to appear more alive by giving you examples of expressions, character traits, clothing etc. And with explanations of the effect that the character will produce on the reader. The book was written by a Japanese mangaka and what he brings more than others in this genre, it's work experience with small nice anecdotes.
