Many buyers inform yourself before buying a coffee machine, unfortunately, not enough on the need for cleaning and the technical understanding that you have to bring for such a device. Or have misconceptions (as I did also).
It is indeed quite fix a coffee or latte cook but only if you maintain its Barista well and prepared for coffee delivery.
If this is not done, the disappointment is big and fast is the opinion that the machine is broken and is considered negative. Whether at Delonghi, Jura etc ..
In other words: A Coffee Machine has cleaned more often short and thoroughly cleaned at certain intervals (pomace water and milk containers, milk system, drip tray, brew group, bean hopper and interior purpose grease, degreasing and descaling.). For components must be removed and partially disassembled.
Water milk and bean container want to be constantly filled.

But who is ready, will be able to enjoy wonderful and tasty coffee.
Before buying a new device I look for on the Internet all kinds of information together, which I can get. Manuals and videos are everywhere for free. And give sometimes in finding a device just enter "test" with the search query. There are often found side by coffee lovers who try various coffee machines extensively. This makes the decision much easier.

Now to my Moltio:
I use the Saeco Moltio HD8778 / 11th It is the HD8769 / 01 only in silver and also identical to the Saeco HD8869 / 11 Moltio Premium.
Previously I had from 2004 - 2011 the Saeco Trevi Automatica and from 2011 to the Saeco Synthia HD8839 / 11th
For once, I did not even buy on Amazon, because here not available. The Moltio I got delivered a Saeco dealer from Lake Constance (also authorized dealer for Delonghi, Jura, etc.). The dealer has repeatedly Main all manufacturers for a short time in the range. So I have the HD8778 / 11 incl extra bean container 629, - Euro including shipping paid...
Why do I have retold a Saeco and why Moltio HD8778 / 11?
Because the old Saeco still function properly and without error, and by the frequent visit because of Synthia, I needed a slightly larger machines (more water, larger pulp container), as well as a bar button. Max 700, -. Euro and silver.
The Moltio:
I now no longer explain all the positive things the Moltio as these have already been listed in the positive reviews. But I try a few tips for Kaffeevollautomaten newcomers give.
After the first time you turn a venting and flushing is performed. The first 2 minutes is pumped, without a drop of water comes. Then you must press it again and finally comes the first water. Looked pretty dark. After a few times, rinse it was clear. The operations are shown in the display.

The Synthia has always spent the same amount of time over 3 years. There was no readjustment necessary. The Moltio has gone now (05.2015) about 700 different cups. Frothed milk and coffee are always the same. That's how it should be.
Then it's about 10 - 20 draw coffee, adjust to their needs grinder, flavor and temperature. The SAS is thereby automatically.
And in between every now and then empty the containers and filling.
After approx. 2 hours everything was completely ready for use.
Note the grinder: It's not described silently as advertised. How to be silent and a mechanical grinding at the price. Advertising always exaggerates. There are drinks because you are no wings of grow (yet beautiful advertising).
But in contrast to Synthia It has become much quieter. Morning by 3 clock making coffee is not a problem.
After changing to a different bean type it may be necessary to readjust the grinder and the Aroma setting. UU, the new coffee not taste or else there are aqueous coffee cookies.
And please, do not necessarily buy a cheap no-name coffee. The known low-cost brands (10-15 Euro / kg) quite OK and drinkable with consistent quality.
Better however, can the small roasters and also at a good price.
Or roasts its coffee itself. I use it since the beginning of 2015, the Gene Cafe CBR-101 coffee roasters.
Herewith I can roast the coffee beans themselves determine (strong / weak / low acidity) and still save.
A kilo of excellent raw coffee costs about 8-10 euros and would finish roasted commercially costs about 20-30 Euro.
The exchangeable bean container is a good idea for those who want to sometimes offer a different type of beans or drink itself. However, it need not necessarily be a second container, since the container can be removed completely and easily emptied.
Then, if desired, select the beans change from the menu. It carried out 2 milling processes without coffee output.
The Moltio looks very similar inside of Synthia. As well as the menu and the display are similar or identical. For me an advantage, since the same handling.
The pomace and water tank and the drip tray are now bigger and no longer have to be repeatedly filled and emptied. The filling, emptying and cleaning is as easy to handle at the Moltio as when Synthia.
For me it was important that I can come off during cleaning everywhere. By the side opening door there is a very good access to the interior. Furthermore, the Moltio no or only little ground and to get from the bottom to the smallest corner.
The milk container and the Milchaufschäumdüse now consist of more items, which will be disassembled and cleaned. For the milk foam is a lot better and I take it like to purchase.
Note to Milchaufschäumdüse:
The Synthia had the function that you could perform a brief rinse function of Milchaufschaümdüse a button after each milk output (a bit too short for me). This feature is not available in my Moltio (production date 10/2014). For me incomprehensible to omit this, in spite of a larger water tank. But should now be present.
I have a habit of following since Synthia and have read it recently in a Delonghi guide:
Every time I get the milk container out of the refrigerator (4-5 degrees) or place him in again, what do I do after every milk drink, I turn on the hot water outlet and leave for about 5 seconds. Flush the Milchaufschäumdüse. It runs while no water in the milk container. Is also shown in the Saeco beverage preparation Video HD8778 / 11 so.
After Rausholen it has the advantage that the nozzle is preheated and the frothy milk is from the first cup 1a. Before reinstellen the nozzle is better cleaned and glued nothing. Works for me for over 3 years very well and it is also not yet become sour milk.
The display could be slightly oblique. If more people draufschauen, can not be seen completely to the top. Otherwise, clearly visible.
The 3 keys left and right can be pressed very well and all have the same pressure point. The middle menu button must be pressed a little deeper.
A backlight of dark keys would have been nice. But after a short time you know where you have to press.
If the Moltio in standby mode, a red LED on the standby switch, which is not apparent when you stand in front of it flashes at short intervals.
Despite minor shortcomings I forgive full 5 stars for Moltio because you, easy to clean in my eyes and is easy to maintain. The menu is kept simple and easy to understand. All important keys are available and easy to use. And most importantly, what the Moltio was born is to conjure up very good and very tasty coffees.
Of course, there are other models and manufacturers, which are always a little better.
Many go to dissatisfaction of Saeco by Delonghi etc. But the other way is there just the same.
I personally have found the coffee machine at the moment, with which I am happy and satisfied.
