Once upon a time ... Happily Ever After! A well and truly epochal work! And it makes me happy, so often to check how much this has someone inspired or impressed. I Love Once upon a time in particular because it is a great concept album in disco garb, Donna Summer's versatility shows raises great, danceable music in a Gesamtkunstwerk, a INCREDIBLE Cover (by Francesco Scavullo) and perfect my life feeling nineteen seventies in the reflects years. One reviewer made a comment that I would like to quote here because it impressed me: given the driving, futuristic, to "I Feel Love" reminiscent sounds of the medley "Now I Need You" and "Working The Midnight Shift" he wrote (adapted from the original title of the novel to "Blade Runner"): ".! Androids do not dream of electric sheep you dreamed of Donna Summer" (to read on the .com site of Amazon) Well, I want to associate myself with and add : not only androids! And I want to mention also the climax of the tale told here: "Rumour Has It", "I Love You" and "Happily Ever After" -man dances, supported by Donna's voice and the rhythms, so to speak, in the bliss! Unforgettable. Only remains a mystery why this album spawned more hit singles has-perhaps in order not to tear out of the concept? Another explanation I did not know!
