A dream of a nightmare

Emily, the daughter of the protagonist, is on her seventh birthday abducted in a nightmare realm of a shadow creature that was already there, as Emily's father died in a car accident. Emily's mother immediately takes up the pursuit, but to all the secrets of the other side are solved, a lot of puzzles and hidden objects to be solved ...

'Nightmare Realm' is a hidden object adventure and embeds hidden objects in a point'n'click adventure one. In order to follow the exciting story, does one behave as a point'n'click adventure and used items in the right places in order to solve puzzles and open new paths. The puzzles are logical; if you still stuck once, helps a rechargeable hint feature with hints on. Also in the objects in the picture, you can use this feature to display items that are not found partout. The hidden objects are, however, relatively easy to solve: The objects are quite large and thanks to the beautiful graphics to see well in the rule; so no need to search for millimeter millimeter screen to find a black object in front of black background. In addition, between brain teasers to be solved over and over again. These are not too difficult, but can be also skip.
All important discoveries are automatically transferred to a diary. A map helps with orientation, but unfortunately does not provide fast travel function. The game plays very smoothly overall and raises no frustration. The game is thus more suitable for beginners and hidden object for veterans who are challenged with the objects in the picture.

The story is very well done and draws players alike in its spell. Only the final is a bit disappointing. Here one has the impression that the programmers had no more desire and wanted to be ready quickly. Another weak point is the game time is rather short even for a hidden object adventure with a good three hours.

'Nightmare Realm' is more concerned with quality than quantity: Although the time it is quite short with the game, it is still very nice. 'Nightmare Realm' combines an exciting story with logical puzzles and hidden object fair, offering everything you would expect from a hidden object adventure.
