What you should be clear: The dehumidifier produces - even in silent mode - a sound like a fast running fan. This is certainly not terribly noisy, can in a residential area but already disturbing, and in my apartment one has heard the noise everywhere. One would not operate at night in the bedroom the device safely. In addition to the fans noise but there is no noise, even (on carpet) hardly vibrations, but the way quite heat. My girlfriend thinks that the device "after vacuum cleaner" smell.
The water tank I find with 2.5 liters to just dimensioned. I let the machine run during the day, and when I returned to about six hours, the tank was already full and the unit had switched off. No wonder, if the device is 20 liters per day can pull from the air - thus the tank would be full after about three hours. In addition, you can also connect a drain hose.
Overall, I had a positive impression of the device, in short, it brings an impressive amount of water from the air and makes up a good figure. There, however (ie almost half a kilowatt!) Consumes painful 450 watts per hour (according to the manufacturer), that rule of thumb 15 cents an hour. In continuous operation, would the more than 100 electricity costs - a month!
My Conclusion: Overall a nice device that I like but do without. From the perspective of the current costs and the ecological balance, it is only in comparison to an electric heater (with a consumption of about 2000 Watts) is the better solution. If at all possible you can take the alternative heating-ventilation-dams definitely better.
