Do not expect a "proper" follow-up to the classic APP debut album "Tales Of Mysery and Imagination". That album stands as a classic experimental rock, Which can hardly be Said about "POE ..". HOWEVER, in it's own right, I think "POE .." is a fine, well-produced pop / rock album with several great tracks,: such as the moody instrumental "Angel Of The Odd", "The Pit and the Pendulum" ( The most hard-rocking track and the highlight of the album in my opinion) and the closing track "Immortal". Of course, this is not APP, but who would expect that, considering the factthat this band does not excist anymore, due to different opinions on Which musical direction to take. Apart from the rather bombastic choire arrangements on several tracks, my overall opinion is that "POE .." is almost as good an album as "Freudiana" (to several APP albums.)
