A flagship!

the first positive surprise was that the unit - even though it was stated delivery time of 4-6 weeks, after almost 2 weeks was in the house, apparently a supply of ASUS to Amazon came faster than expected.

First impression when unpacking: looks very pretty, it wobbles nothing, everything firm and shapely.

For apparatus itself: the keyboard is great and has really a very good tactile feedback. However, clicking the mouse button a little noisy, it takes some getting used, but falls to me in the category negligible
to screen: this is in some product reviews not so given good, and in fact it reflects already, so work in blazing sunshine is with the device impossible in shady but cookie quite possible otherwise but I have been able to easily and work for hours on without fatigue of the eyes. The only drawback here: if several people look at the screen (have) it is difficult because of the mirrored display is the view not good if you are not seen from the front of the screen. The display itself is very thin, which is indeed an objective matter, but subjectively it has easily the feeling that here quickly what bend / crimes can. but has not yet happened and more likely psycholigisch conditionally.

To Noise: The unit is extremely quiet, which surprised me. in Battery Save Mode is the device most of the time not even a peep from him, only under load the fan turns on, the other devices is very quiet but also compared. This is of course also on the SSD hard drive, which is completely silent.

SSD drive also provides other very pleasant benefits. The lower space is compensated by lightning-fast boot up and access files (for the most necessary early installations as office, firefox etc launched the device is still in almost 20sec high, MS Word opens unthinkable in 1-2 seconds with a conventional HDD).

otherwise the device also has super power. the 8GB ram make really noticeable and also the computing power is impressive for a laptop of this size. This is of course paid the steep price.

Battery power is indicated by the manufacturer with up to 10 hours and I can confirm absolutely. I could survive blocked lecture at the university problems in the darkest screen and battery-save mode for a whole day, which is really a dream. Of course, the battery performance falls off rapidly under load, but that is in the nature of things.

A small drawback is the built-in speakers, they are not outstanding on the quality, but for petrol normal user in the range of acceptable and one can be infected for better listening times headphones or speakers. The sound driver has a few quirks yet. if you bring your laptop from sleep mode, the driver refused his services and goes after reboot again. but this is still a driver update might solve, I have not dealt with it myself, because I do not have my priority here.

Conclusion: The device is very expensive, but at a price more than worth it. it is a real power dwarf who has everything the demanding user needs. Anyone who travels a lot and yet not want to give up power, is absolutely right on this machine. For graphics processing, however, probably be a little weak the screen. The nonexistent DVD drive makes the device very easy and it took me one as a now needed astonished how rarely ever. I have indeed an external DVD drive to buy but to date probably no more than 5 times used.
Therefore strong buy recommendation.
