The Unit (Paperback)

Customer Review

"Unity" is the place where men and women who have become "useless" to society are sent beyond a certain age.
Dorritt just turned 50, she has no husband, no children and no parents to support, she is going to have to leave his house, her lover, her dog, to reach this place where now it will become less useless. Indeed, all those who are sent to the unit become kinds of organ tanks, their body no longer belongs to them, and until the end, they will have to comply with various scientific experiments and donations of organs to save people who themselves have been deemed "useful".
This novel is scary, he questions the meaning of life, are we on earth for a purpose? Should we return on our lives? Above all, our bodies and our lives they really belong to us or should we give back to society what it has given us? Y t is it really helpful people and others who are not or more? T her life has the same value for each of us?
Dorritt moved me, I was angry with her, I was terrified at his side, I had driven to rage cause of impotence and injustice, I was tempted to fight, to find a way to escape this rule established and finally, I was sad to leave at the end of the book as you leave someone we loved and known that we the see again.
I feel that this book will keep me long in mind and I have not finished asking me questions ....
