Djawadi uses no complicated composition that is clear, he relies on the strength of his subjects and especially the great atmosphere! At themes he used much, but what he used, still packs a punch: The simple but powerful main theme is introduced in the very first track and comes with a swing so ... very dramatic and cool at the same time. Add to that a little brute Action motif. And so it goes with the whole score: Djawadi place with his music the perfect way to accompany the film. On the one hand the score accurately characterizes the character of Tony Stark, with its transparency and coolness. Here, the soundtrack never loses its momentum and provides plenty of full-on action. These Djawadi used very many rock elements, which he combines with the orchestra and the synthesizer. A great listening experience, with plenty of power!
As I said, the first entitled "Driving With The Top Down" is equal to total commitment. The CD is full of these funky pieces, but there is also something more reflective tracks, such as the delicate "Extra Dry, Extra Olives". Then there is the dramatic "Vacations Over", that the main theme presented in a very tragic form.
Very cool, I find "Iron Man (2008)" (the intro of the old series to "Iron Man" in a aufgetunten version) and "Damnkid" because they come along very elegant and jazzy, thus creating a perfect counterpoint to the gloomy Action thunderstorms.
Moreover, these tracks are just pure listening pleasure!
My personal highlights are but definitely the dark and rapid "Iron Monger" and especially "Arc Reactor" in which expires the main topic at a great climax!
The title "Institutionalized" in my opinion is very annoying and does not fit on the CD, even if he seemed in the film. I have a very broad taste in music, but even I could not listen to the babble ... For the last track is the original intro to the old series of "Iron Man", very funny.
What makes this soundtrack so great, is that it works perfectly not only in the film, on this CD, he also has a great Hörfluss. Although the items are not very chronological, but also not brauchts, because here has its own story of the film developed. Even for those who do not know or like the film, is worth the soundtrack, as it offers a very good cross section of 50 minutes.
Conclusion: A clear recommendation for all who are fans of rooms & Co and definitely for those who have been surprised when watching the film: "What kind of a cool music?" "Iron Man" rocks!
