First listening test: "Yikes what the is'n for an intro, but oh the sound is quite nice. Sounds somehow by A-ha on ... no ... no RHCP so I do not know. I would have imagined to have access to this work more difficult. " But at the latest during the second passage we notice the Dredg have finally found their style, while some people have their previous album leitmotif still stigmatized as any concept, this applies to any case in El Cielo. Because determines what you hear after repeated the captivating atmosphere is to be here, through an incredible number of details and nuances that seem to hear every time more is produced. Dredg take you on a long journey, a story so strange and yet familiar. Every song a separate chapter, which complement each other to form a complete, exciting and emotional history. This album should definitely belongs as a Gesamtkunstwerk and viewed. It has resorted to a pleasantly wide range of instruments that were well portioned and used for mood fits. Whether short piano passages or distorted and undistorted Strings, everything just seems to belong to it and gives the album its independence. This album grows with each listening session. Initially still very approachable and friendly sounding revealed EL CIELO which raise the enough patience to take residence in these fine but complex Woven soundscape, never notice many details and incredible musical passages, the one heard when superficial. For me (now) one of the best releases of 2002.
