This novel by Daniel Keyes is simply a masterpiece and it is one of the finest books given to me to read.

In addition to a gripping story raises many questions, the shape is also perfectly in line with the background. Indeed, this book tells the story of a mentally retarded will be the subject of an experience already successfully tested on mice: one had an operation to increase the capacity of the brain. In two words: to become intelligent. The book is written by the main character as a "report", as a kind of diary. This backlog is the author chosen to write interesting reports with spelling errors. Obviously, as and as the character evolves and becomes intelligent, the faults disappear and a different syntax sets! After a while, the main character than intelligence scientists who submitted to this experiment and found that the mouse Algernon begins to lose cognitive abilities ...
