The Stabat Mater the contemporary Karl Jenkins is a work for choir and orchestra. It combines classic with modern sounds, is emphasized strongly rhythmic and tears the listener from the stool. A special feature is that although most of the parts have Latin text, but there are also parts English and oriental-inspired pieces that should be sung by Arab or Turkish soloists.
