In terms of changes, the most obvious improvements include:
- Really nice to take in hand lever. I enjoyed the new cross, sticks his thumb that hang well and triggers provides better run and better grip. Overall, I think this handle will provide better comfort in certain types of games, such as FPS,
- The online functions probably represent the biggest advance in relation to the PS4 PS3 (network stability, access to social networks, video captures)
- The menu navigation is more intuitive and fluid, thanks to the multitasking (you can play while downloading, return to the menu to set a parameter, then return to the game). Too bad we can not customize the backgrounds.
- Latest really nice feature: the ability to stream the game on PS Vita (it works fine on my WiFi network) and can play away from the TV (ideal for families). This already existed between PS3 and PSP / Vita, but here it is much more fluid and is compatible with many games.
Note that for a first version of the PS4, it does not heat up excessively and is not particularly noisy.
The power gain is also present, but few games are an obvious demonstration. Do not expect a "woaw effect" with most of the launch games.
Only Killzone gives a real slap visual (including the play of light, the depth of field) and shows that the new gen will offer new opportunities for photorealism.
In terms of disappointments, I regret that:
- The multimedia part is lagging behind and that the functions are unlocked over the updates - some still to come. Playing DVDs and Blu-rays is possible, but there is still no media server, no reading CDs. No true video-on-demand, subscription-kind Canal Plus.
- The HDMI port is also constrained by a HDCP which currently hinders video captures via external boxes. Again, this should be released later but still an unspecified date. For now, we must settle for internal capture solution, which is certainly simple enough but does not offer as many possibilities (upload not compatible with YouTube video, capture time limited to 15 minutes, ... )
- The absence of retro-compatibility with PS3 games also penalizes a catalog of games already very limited at launch - and especially undiversified (3 FPS, 3 sports games - but other genres are under-represented)
Anyway, the console currently serve a loyal, convinced of the potential of the machine and interested in the brand licensing.
Its acquisition is not necessarily "urgent" for other consumers, who can still turn without regret to the machines of the previous generation, yet obsolete and with a gargantuan catalog of games.
Also note that the online game for many games require a paid subscription (which also can play at no extra cost to new games every month).
About installing and updating, everything went very well. Quick and easy connection to WiFi (WPS-compatible), fast download of the update.

Publishing player has the merit of proposing the console, a great exclusive game, a second controller and a camera for a good price (499).
However, I see no reason to encourage the prohibitive prices charged by some retailers at break after the first few weeks.
Indeed, the console is still in its infancy, that is, that few games are available and you will have a thousand and one opportunity you get later in Price more "reasonable".
We can not justify an extraordinary investment for the next "collector".
The console provided here has no particular decoration, no special bonuses, and the game is simply provided in box (without Steelbook).

If some defects prevent his solo campaign to shine over several years, Killzone Shadow Fall fulfills the contract of a good set of launch, ie outline the graphics capabilities of the console (and by the way, show that celles- it justify the investment in a new generation of machines) and stability of multiplayer network (that SONY has made paying, promising a better quality of service).
On these two essential points, Killzone does not fail and offers both:
- A masterful slap visual - with a new level of photo-realism on both consoles texture quality than by the absence of aliasing or by stunning lighting effects
- A friendly and enjoyable multiplayer experience, which allows everyone to have fun on the well constructed maps and without too many imbalances between casual players and regular players. All on servers that do not row (which frankly is appreciated).
