Great fan of Ken Follet, I bought this novel without knowing that it was actually his first or one of his first. I also bought it because I am interested in painting in general. Obviously, after reading his great novels, "Pillars of the Earth", "World without End" and "Fall of Giants" and "Jackdaws", "Code to Zero," "The Third Twin" and "A dangerous Fortune "" The Modigliani Scandal "did a little office sketching, draft, write attempt. But nonetheless, the middle of the art is described with great vividness and realism, and it is this aspect of the novel that interested me most. If Plot building leaves something to be desired and if some characters are a bit blurry or too fast staged, we take pleasure in reading this story whose merit is to make us spend a pleasant time in denouncing the the mid galliéristes snobbery and nonsense evaluation of contemporary works.
