This first novel seems promising and will encourage me to order other items by this author (guide, travelogue, another novel ...). Scenery and adventures take place in a country that I do not know, the many and precise descriptions were therefore welcome. Thus better to imagine the framework in which the heroine and all the characters. Especially, one feels the experience, the author knows the places she talks and the populations living in these countries. The heroine has a lot of character, the chance to meet the right people. The plot is interesting and gets more intense in the second half of the novel. I put 4 stars instead of 5 because the end is sad for my taste, so this is a subjective opinion.
