The function of the viewfinder exceeds my expectations. The 1,48x magnification of the viewfinder image is a Uncanny improvement not only in comparison with the representation on the display, but also compared to DSLR viewfinders. The picture is clear and true to life - you see, what you get, as the English say. Of course, it can be seen as an electronic image, but to address the fears what pixelation, streaks and delays have not materialized. Actually, the seeker was intended primarily for photographs in the sunlight (which he perfectly masters), but it has been seen that the viewfinder is actually preferable to the display in any situation. In low-light situations, it offers a very good and bright image, contrary to my expectation and some prejudices that are circulating on other digital viewfinder. The great strength lies in the 1,48x magnification, which is a great help especially in the landscape and street photography. Disturbing objects that are often realized only in the reflections on the computer screen are already identify more easily through the viewfinder during image composition. In the Street Photography you can see details such as facial expressions, gestures of hands and so very well in the viewfinder. That's on the camera screen often more of a gamble to wait for the right time.
Angle Finder - why? The ability to tilt the viewfinder up to 90 degrees, is a gimmick that I have not even considered in my decision to buy into consideration. Now that I use it, it is a function, in which I am hopelessly in love. You can take pictures of the chest, without going into the knee must (a perspective that many legendary street photographers certainly not without reason preferably selected). You can look through the viewfinder and select oblique perspectives, without having to be practiced in the Olympic Gymnastics need: a lot of movement takes a hinge from the viewfinder. It is oddly less perceived as a photographer when you bent down looking through the viewfinder - a priceless advantage if you like to people photographed and so the subject can hardly irritated by the photographer. Although one must say that this small camera with the angle finder is apparently so rare that you can not not just perceived, but sometimes reaps quite astonished glances. The launching of a ground-to-air missile or landing with a time machine would probably not cause materially different facial expressions - bit perplexed.
Are there any criticisms? Of course. But that has less to do with the function or design, but with the price. 299 is quite a lot, even more than I paid for my E-PM2 housing. Especially one encounters with the entire system before in price areas where you actually get damn good quality with other camera systems and manufacturers. Annoying is of course the fact that you as an import from the United States, Korea and Japan as early as the 160 gets the viewfinder (+ customs duties - so roughly just under 200). Following a similar case in the European market price does not looks so unfortunately.
If you want to get into the PEN system, I was not sure if I would just want to invest in such solutions. If you already own a PEN, this viewfinder is probably a must-have and should not be put off by the price (unless one is facing bankruptcy). I would prefer this viewfinder each other, no matter how big the price difference is. The others are not really exhausted fermentation solutions, this viewfinder is perfect.
