HISTORY
So, I was almost always one of the most respected in racing games has to a certain degree of simulation. Arcade Racer were times not my case and could not tie me to some extent or even inspire. PRESENTATION
After a short acclimatization, you find yourself in the 3D menu along well. Compared to other games here do DIRT 2 a fresh and pleasant impression.
A special praise deserves the soundtrack, have rarely so neat and the game itself matching "Mucke" belongs. The waiting time for the next event becomes super bridges and boredom while not really on, SUPER.

SCOPE
In addition to the known time trial and arbitrary race of Career mode is the core element of DIRT 2. SOUND

GRAPHICS
Since there is nothing wrong, the graphics are just great imho. The landscapes are great staged and often I could not help but WOW.
The cars look great and especially driving from the cockpit perspective is fantastic.

CONTROL + physics
Hardware: Logitech Driving Force GT
As already assumed the physics is strong direction arcade. Had me here certainly want something more challenging but still fits perfectly with DiRT 2. Within a short time one gets the hang of it and you can wonderfully "break" on the slopes. Even really cool when you get pumped in at full speed on a hairpin, the car lurching hires on the curve, a short tug on the handbrake and then skillfully circles the cars at the hairpin with a sensitive foot on the accelerator. Really funny thing :).
Bin the car to move to from automatic to manual circuit, here succeeds felt a little better to me to the limit. The Force Feedback support is also very good and fun.

CONCLUSION
What can I say, DIRT 2 really makes things right and the whole game this feels very consistent. Cooler Soundtrack, fats racing action and ne great graphics, easy throttle increases and FUN. Too bad that really stand little routes available which prevents a correct high rating.
The game really exudes charm, where you have otherwise been the possibility "Valentino Rossi" as a guest driver in front of you, subtly once knocking on the trunk, a few times the "Iceman horn" pressed around him then discreetly into the next curve slowing.
Somewhat depressed I was only at the "Colin McRae Memorial Rally", had a sentimental part in such a game is not expected. RIP Colin.
