The again very insightful texts of frontman Wolfgang Niedecken tell many stories and dissolve total here more than before from his person, so that they are universal. Thus, America is a very timeless album. In the title piece "America" the atmosphere is as close as never before, that music and text merge into a frenzied clear image. A beautiful love song has the proud refrain: "Since my wife is." In "Asphalt Pirate" be glorified but honestly admires the roadies as mercenaries in the background a bit. A story from the Cologne childhood is "Nothing as usual" and tells the story of football matches in the doorway. The duet with Nina Hagen in the gecoverten of the Pogues song "Christmas Eve" is just fun. This would at the same time the hits contained on this CD for my personal BAP leaderboard because they are clear of the music here, dense and of the texts just timeless. A beautiful BAP album for those who are not so much interested in Cologne and the current privacy by lyricist W. Niedecken.
