The housing is integrally made of plastic which allows to lighten its weight. He looks strong and holds well up once installation disk. As in the attached video (sorry for the quality) we can see that it is very easy to use. The lid is removed, you put its disk being pushed gently, is connected to the mains and to the computer via the USB cable before you press the on / off button on the back of the dock. A light turns green to signify that the power is on and blue lights up when you turn the disc. We then have access to the disk without any installation. Transfer rates are the ones consistent with those expected of a USB 3.0 device, no worry of that side in my tests.
In summary, this dock is simple and convenient to use. It allows to use its SATA drives in both 2.5-inch 3.5 as well as offering excellent performance with USB 3.0. In addition, with its lid, it enables the disc to be protected from dust. It's all good!
