This new book by Jean d'Ormesson is one of those best; he returns to several stages of his life that is marked and tells with delicacy, tenderness while posing some philosophical and moral issues. It addresses the family, religion, love and the question of our presence on earth while developing an exciting theme of time passing. A passage that I particularly liked is especially the comment on Darwin, evolution versus religion. In small chapters, we learn a lot and it is a hymn to life, to happiness, to the sun. We take pleasure in each chapter!
