I have this TravelMate Acer gained early October because my old laptop is retired -D and I therefore a new, low-cost needed. (Student - therefore purely "professional use" -> Office, Internet etc.)
Actually, I was quite happy with it:
- The volume of the processor
- Battery life was quite passable
- Computer speed was very good for this price range
- The keyboard was not great -> you could omit the num pad and after a few weeks tucked the "y" key (but what is not so tragic, as by blowing out the keyboard all that had wedged itself was released again) Still worth mentioning
- In weight even in the portable range (there was very often taken to University)
- In my opinion, an individual design (scratchproof by Carbon Copy)
Nevertheless, I give only three stars because I was happy with the acute performance, but the machine broke down on Christmas Day and did not want to start (during a youtube video). I guess detourners the operating system has somehow gotten en damage or even the entire motherboard, which would suggest that I got refunded the full purchase price. (Thank you to Amazon for their friendly and fast processing in the return delivery).
I'm considering now whether I should try it again (maybe I was just unlucky) and going throughout the year to sleep over it and probably move to a new trial because my old laptop (which was brought into working life again from the pension: -D) will not come out more.
