FarCry 3 pleasantly surprised me. It feels like a good action movie, however, is an action game with RPG elements. That's a great thing and has a lot of fun to me. It has its weaknesses, but also great strengths. I spent 24 hours with hunting, gathering, the side missions and main story. The game in detail:

# Graphics / Sound #:
The least important for me first. You can tell the game that it has been developed for multiple platforms. The PS3 / Xbox 360 pull down the whole package and therefore is the power that can deliver a PC, not really used. Nevertheless FarCry 3 is a very pretty game.

Positives:
+ Bright colors, palm trees, the ocean noise, insects that can be heard in the woods ... true island feeling and holiday cravings come on!
+ Beautifully modeled mountains and forests, ruins and villages invite you to explore.
+ Incredibly beautiful design of special story places (because I do not want now to reveal too much, it looks to yourselves).
+ Good sound weapons.
+ Good spokesman for the roles that are unfortunately a bit lips asynchronous in German. Took me but not too much disturbed.
+ Design opponents and faces of the characters look very good.
+ Force view is good.

Negatives:
- When you look into the distance, eg for gliders fly, then you can see how trees aufploppen only as 2D models (very ugly) and then gradually gain in detail. As one could have found a nicer solution.
- Grass representation in some areas very strange
- Dx11 still leads with my AMD card minor graphics issues (dark squares can be seen), but the option does anyway is no real difference. It drives well with Dx9.

# Gameplay / game world #:
The gameplay seems at first glance a little better than it really is, especially late in the game. After about 16 hours some air was out of the side quests and I was only focused on Piratenunterschlüpfe and story missions. But 16 hours are almost 3 complete single player Cod, so I'm satisfied.

Positives:
+ Crafting the pockets / bag makes a hell of fun! Which animal I have to hunt and where there is this?
+ The control is mainly with the Xbox 360 pad on the PC very well, the key assignment is reasonable and the car control, especially when compared to other titles very well and precisely. I have not tested the keyboard controller, so I can not judge because.
+ The cover system is well managed, can be very good hatches around corners and shoot from behind cover.
+ The syringe system that by crafting drugs from plants and gives an example of a kind of "Wallhack" which lets you see for about 30 seconds the enemy through walls an advantage in battle. Here, however, it must be clear that you're not the same all opponents can do by simply because

+ The radio towers have their own unique charm and each presents a different challenge.
+ Small random events, like a tiger attacking a patrol fill the world with interesting events. You get the feeling that in many places something happens and you're not alone in the world.

Negatives:
- The crafting was with me for about 8 hours to end. I had improved everything you could improve. The animals were also rather uninteresting.
- The injection system has helped me a lot, but it's just a gimmick and you can very well without playing (except healing syringes).
- The "Tatau" system has especially in advanced game no longer so important, because the important skills are learned quite quickly.
- Artifact Collections / letters / boxes is absolutely unnecessary and brings a nothing, from which, unfortunately,
- The discovery of the world is pretty pointless and at some point draws only from shelter to shelter with the quick trip.
- The missions, where you must take drugs to specific locations in a certain time, did not really fit for me in the game and seemed out of place.
- I have ignored almost all races and minigames. So what needs to now be playing in any open Word, I think it is something unnecessary. Very 08/15.

# Story / Characters #:
The most important thing FarCry 3. The story has me still busy even after the games, as they especially on the first island is very good and raises many subterranean issues related to pleasure and social excesses. Drugs play an important role, just as the madness of the antagonist Vaas. I'm not trying to spoilers, but I can not quite refrain especially in the negative part of the evaluation. I mark these lines with spoiler. My opinion is of course subjective, and I think especially in FarCry 3 each should have its own opinion form.

Positives:
+ The motivation of Vaas as a villain is shown very unklischeehaft and well. The madness that drives him and his pseudo-philosophies are awesome written and implemented. Already at the beginning it is quite distracted by him, as one lives through a tragic scene. However, he speaks in the background of his bizarre ideas and thoughts. Very, very awesome!
+ Jason Brody makes through a credible development, from the anxious boy to uncompromising man. One understands him for the most part, and especially by the speaker His emotions come at any time over very well.
+ Each character has its own background and useful has been established. One developed sympathies and dislikes right. General I have in some situations noticed how I was involved and how much emotion the game caused me.
+ Especially a character remains opaque long, which I liked very well.
+ As already explained: the story encourages even after the game to think of.
+ The side missions with the monkey head as a symbol are super! Especially because of its main character.

Negatives:
- In a moment the characters are still very affected by fate, the next they talk almost casually together. Here I believe that the game sometimes not so well the significance of sad and tragic situations narrated. But that's a matter of taste, on the whole, the developers have done a very good job.
- SPOILER: At the second island is for the whole plot. We no longer have so many interesting supporting characters (actually only one) and the new antagonist could not be clichéd.
- SPOILER: The choice that you can meet in the end, unnecessarily in my eyes. The bathroom had Ending the developer should be gone. While it is a wise thing to let the player decide, but they would have in the game (in my opinion) more decisions should incorporate with scope.

Conclusion # #:
Despite some criticism, I must say that the game has me tied up and its content and ideas reacted very well. Since FarCry 3 is a closed game, and I can not build on their predecessors only advise everyone who has a bit of a thing for shooter and / or action movies: Buy and enjoy!
