1. Download new firmware and unpack
2. Create the directory UPG_ALL on USB stick in the root directory
3. Copy .rom file into UPG_ALL Directory
4. Start the player, remove discs and plug in USB flash drive, agree Update Process
5. Wait until player turns off, remove key and run player again

Further, the remote is kept in a very edgy, old style. Note also that the player no HDMI cable is in, which must be purchased separately. The menu is kept in standard LG Corporate Design.
