Blur make it to their fifth, simple "Blur" titled longplayer once again, to continually develop and yet remain always faithful. Many had expected that the band after the great Britpop hype would disappear from the scene. A fear that can blur the handset already forgotten her beatlesken opener "Beetlebum". The Top Ten hit "Song 2" surprised with grunge bonds and pure joy for impetuous crash, and also otherwise Blur contact the rougher post-punk line to. Unconcerned throws the tape along the old way, which really does not belong together. Wah sound strikes first loops ("Movin 'on"), nöliger singing on offbeat guitars ("Sad Ballad Country Man"). Although the Britpop 1997 already a little weird smells - the music of Blur is fresh as ever. (This is an Amazon.com at the university-student review.)
