Again a realistic tome!

The last two volumes of the saga had disappointed me for their fantastic appearance that did not fit - in my view - the spirit of the series. That fans can rest assured, this volume it portrays Cole and PJ (an expected torque) but refocuses on the concrete, realistic.

We discover a bit the past of PJ and why it seems so cold and distant. This will demonstrate that it is worth a man thing that annoys me, is a bit removed here with a character who is well aware of what it is and knows his place in the team.
But when asked to participate in a mission, dangerous, she agreed - and we come to wonder if out of bravado or for the sake of mission.
But things go very badly and PJ is first in line to pay the piper. Then comes the time of reconstruction, the same revenge for what the soldier sniper.

Cole him even being a team member, is especially opposed to PJ Their relationship, which seems so natural at first, quickly parasitized by feelings of Cole who comes to treat the woman like a doll porcelain keep locked up. This dripping side of romanticism, in stark contrast with the character of the young woman, bored me. I would have preferred that Cole remains the soldier he was and that sex does not come to change his behavior at that point.

The plot is somewhat otherwise indented in favor of how the various characters handle the situation. Emphasis is placed on the main couple, but the author is trying to still talk about each of the protagonists involved.
The reaction of PJ is interesting, but by the will of the young woman to be independent, the reader is unclear as it manages the trauma. We jumped in the time that we "deprive" the evolution of the sniper. But, as if to apologize, the author talks about the other women of the clan that speaks (some) of them lived.
About the trauma, I am pleased that the author has chosen to pass the scene in silence. It would have been perfectly awful to read, and then use the stratagem allows the reader to take the full measure of the horror of the situation without having the lurid details.

Finally, if I can not find the excitement of the first volumes, we still have a Volume 6 pleasant and well built. Dealing with sometimes difficult subjects that the author deals with modesty, but with the end of words.
